About the HBAWM, Inc.
Chartered in 1961, the Home Builders Association of Western Maryland, Inc. is a non-profit, professional trade association representing members of all facets of the home building industry. Our purpose is to advocate housing by providing pertinent industry and professional networking opportunities.
A VOICE IN THE COMMUNITY
Serving Allegany and Garrett counties as an advocate of the building industry, the association positively impacts issues that affect housing through economic and leadership influence in the community. Through the combined efforts with elected officials and area chambers of commerce, the HBAWM helps formulate legislative and regulatory policies that promotes affordable housing for area residents.
VITAL PARTNERSHIPS
As a member of the Maryland State Builders Association (MSBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the HBAWM works closely with these highly recognized and respected associations to receive the latest information affecting members and consumers.
The HBAWM continues to monitor all aspects of the home building industry with the assistance of local business leaders and elected officials as well as organizations such as the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce and the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce.
The HBAWM recognizes the importance of not only new home builders and remodelers, but the vital partnerships between all businesses that impact a home such as landscapers, financial institutions, electrical companies, etc. We believe that maintaining and decorating a home is just as important as its initial building. The HBAWM membership is listed within this website by Associate Members and Builder Members.
