Chartered in 1961, the HBAWM, Inc. is a professional trade association representing members of all facets of the home building industry. Our purpose is to advance housing by providing pertinent industry information and professional networking opportunities.
A Voice in the Community
Serving Allegany and Garrett counties as an advocate of the building industry, the association positively impacts issues that affect housing through economic and leadership influence in the community. Through the efforts with elected officials, the HBAWM helps formulate legislative and regulatory policy that promotes affordable housing.
The HBAWM caters not only to the builders and remodelers, but to all aspects dealing with a home - financial institutions, water drillers, electricians, landscapers, plumbers, real estate agents - even computer and technology dealers. If it involves a home, the HBAWM can assist you.

As a member of the Maryland State Home Builders
(MSHB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the
HBAWM works closely with these highly recognized and respected
associations to receive the latest information affecting our
membership and consumers.
The HBAWM continues to monitor all aspects of the home building
industry with the assistance of local business leaders and elected
officials.
The HBAWM recognizes the importance of not only new home builders
and remodelers, but the vital partnership between all businesses
that impact a home such as plumbing, landscaping, hot tubs, etc. We
believe that maintaining and decorating a home is just as important
